Marina Motors is a local and independently owned mechanical repair and servicing business, which has been meeting the needs of local motorists and their vehicles since 1998.
Over the past seven years the business has focused predominately on diagnostic and troubleshooting, which has required access to the latest technical information to cater for the growing complexity of modern vehicles.
Owner, Rod Maher, explains: “The nature of the business requires us to have access to the very latest module pin data, wiring diagrams and component location information across a wide and varied range of vehicles.
“We selected Autodata because of the extensive nature of their data and the quality of the wiring diagrams. These are extremely clear and easy to navigate around, plus importantly they are consistent across all manufactures, which is a real benefit as we work on such a diverse range of vehicles.
“Without access to Autodata some jobs could easily take in excess of half an hour extra to complete, which would eat significantly into our profits.”

Marina Motors has now been using Autodata for the past ten years and was recently upgraded along with other existing subscribers onto the new Autodata online, which includes a host of additional features and covers over 112,000 procedures.
Rod added: “We moved onto the new online system at the start of 2015 and the product really does continue to go from strength to strength. It is always good to work with a supplier who is striving to continually improve and I know from speaking with them at a recent trade show that there is plenty more on the horizon.”
The organisation also benefit from Autodata’s technical support service, where trained staff provide expert advice and guidance to customers on complex diagnostic fixes.
Rod concludes: “If we do ever have a particularly unique vehicle or issue where additional data is required the team are superb at locating and providing this, quickly and efficiently. The service is excellent and something we really value.”
